Edward Franklin Sox was a merchant in Albany, Oregon, associated with the Stewart and Sox Hardware Company and the Linn County Orchard
Colony. Carlton E. Sox, his son, was an attorney with Hewitt and Sox of Albany, Oregon.

Sox, an attorny in Albany, Oregon.
The business records in the collection reflect the Stewart and Sox hardware company and the Linn County Orchard colony (1910-1913); the
legal records are those of Carlton Sox and reflect the legal case of missionary W. A. Matthews at Warm Springs Indian reservation (1925) and other cases; also
included are materials concerning the United Presybyterian church, Albany, Oregon (1930).
