Summary:

photographs and printed material primarily concerned with Bureau of Reclamation
projects in the Northwest, such as Owyhee, Deadwood, and Grand Coulee Dams.
Also similar material acquired through private consultation on hydroelectric
dams and public works in Washington State, British Columbia, Venezuela, and
Punjab, India.

Biographical Note
Frank Arthur Banks, 1993-1957, was the Bureau of Reclamation engineer
who supervised the construction of the Owyhee, Grand Coulee and other dams.
Content Description
The papers consist of project histories of several Bureau of
Reclamation projects directed by Banks, ephemeral engineering publications
connected with the Grand Coulee Project, printed items of restricted
circulation such as engineering reports, and Banks' correspondence, notes and
papers re: private consultation projects, notably the Bhakra Dam in India.
Arrangement
The papers are arranged in a loosely chronological order.
