Historical Note

The Malheur County 4-H Leaders' Council was formed in 1935 to further 4-H club work in Malheur County and to promote greater enthusiasm and better understanding through cooperation and interchange of ideas among its members. All present and past 4-H leaders and other friends of 4-H were eligible to become members. The County School Superintendent, County Club Agent, State Club Leader, and County Agricultural Agent were considered ex-officio members.

Content Description

Minutes of bi-monthly minutes include discussions of social events, county and state fairs, and scholarships to be awarded. A few clippings of notable 4-H events in the area are also included. Memos and correspondence include meeting announcements and discussion of financial matters.

The Malheur County 4-H Leaders Council Records are organized into 3 series: I. Constitution and By-Laws; II. Meeting Minutes; and III. Memos and Correspondence.
