Biographical Note
Born March 4, 1923 in Berlin, N.H., Mr. Gendron served in the U.S.
Army Air Forces during World War II. He moved to Portland, OR after the war and
was a salesman and manager for several companies. He married Alicia Frances
Niebergall, a native of Walla Walla whom he met while stationed at Walla Walla
Air Base, in 1945. He died June 19, 2001.

Photographs of World War II (1941-45) era, featuring aftermath photos
of bombing raids carried out by Army Air Force pilots. Gendron, an Army Air
Force photographer, would follow up on bombing raids, showing the results of
air attacks on German targets. Personal memorabilia collected by Gendron during
his three years of service, including a survival kit issued to soldiers in the
