The United States Forest Service sponsored Video Production Workshops at Oregon State University in 1988 and 1989.

Content Description

The United States Forest Service Video Workshop Videotapes were generated as part of Forest Service workshops held at Oregon State University. The productions were made in collaboration with OSU departments and individuals, including the College of Forestry and the Communication Media Center, as well as the Oregon Department of Forestry. The productions were intended for a general audience.

The collection includes the following productions: What's Killing My Trees? about tree diseases and pests; Log Scaler: A Career for You? about the work of log scalers in Oregon; Green Side Up!: Plant Right -- Grow Right, with Steve Woodard, and Reforestation: It's No Accident about reforestation in Oregon; Log Exports: Industry Views regarding the effects of the export of raw logs from federal forest lands on the Oregon timber industry; and Steps to Safe Debris Burning, [or] Don't Let Debris Burning Make an Ash Out of You, with Steve Elefant, about preventing wildfires with safe burning of wood waste.

All of the videotapes are VHS format.
