Biographical Note
Lottie Wilson, from Mount Hood (Wasco County), Oregon, was a music
student at Oregon Agricultural College during the 1907-1908 academic year and
lived in Waldo Hall. She worked in the photography studio of W.S. Gardner.
Content Description
The Lottie Wilson Letter was written in January 1908 by Lottie Wilson, a
music student at Oregon Agricultural College to her family in Mount Hood,
Oregon. It describes her work in the photography studio of W.S. Gardner and
activities in Waldo Hall, where she lived. A broadside advertising a
carnival-like event at Waldo Hall on January 18 is included with the letter.
The event was a benefit for the Waldo Hall library and featured Mouche Mouche
(a guinea pig), fortune telling, and a Japanese booth.
