Historical Note

The Public Health Department is an academic unit of the College of Health and Human Peformance (now Health and Human Sciences). It was named the Health Department prior to 1989. Department chairs during the period of these records were: William Koski, David Phelps, David Lawson, Annette Rossignol, and Rebecca Donatelle.

The Public Health Department has academic programs in environmental safety and health, health management and policy, health promotion and health behavior, and international health and offers BS, MS, MPH, and Ph.D. degrees.

Content Description

The Public Health Department Records consist of Faculty Meeting Minutes. The minutes include agendas, meeting minutes, memoranda, related correspondence, reports and other materials. The records primarily document the undergraduate and graduate academic programs of the department and, to a more limited degree, facilities and department administration.
