Overview of the CollectionHistorical NoteThe Local Histories are research projects created by students in a Pacific Lutheran University upper division undergraduate history course on the West and Northwest. Many of the projects examine the history of a particular Northwest city or town, while some consider specific issues in a town’s or the region’s history: Japanese internment during World War II or the history of municipality’s fire department for example.
