Historical NoteThe Associated Students of Washington State University (ASWSU) serves as the goverment for the general student body of the university. The association was established in 1915 as the Associated Students of the State College of Washington but when the university changed its name in 1960 so did the association. In 1968 the system of student class governments was abandoned and the responsibility of the ASWSU was enlarged to encompass every aspect of student goverment. The executive branch of the association usually consists of a President, Vice President, Secretary, and Administrative Assistant. Use of the CollectionAdministrative Information
