Historical NoteThe ASWSU Radio Broadcast Committee was formed of a student group working to establish a 10-Watt FM radio station on the campus of Washington State University. The station's purpose was to be to provide an entertainment service to the students of WSU with no commercials, provide the type of programming the students wanted to hear, and provide information and publicity on local activities and events. The funding of the station was to come from the ASWSU budget. By early in 1978 all plans were approved and the radio station, called KAZU, became a reality.
