Biographical NoteKareen Peiffer, of Portland, Oregon, attended Oregon Agricultural College in the 1930-1931 and 1933-34 academic years and earned a BS degree in education in 1934. She married Morris Vennewitz, also an Oregon State graduate in 1934, and lived in Portland. Kareen Vennewitz died in 1997. Content DescriptionThe Kareen Peiffer Laboratory Notes consist of laboratory notes and drawings made by Peiffer in three courses at Oregon State College: Botany 101, General Botany; Botany 203, Plant Identification; and Zoology 103, General Zoology. The instructors were W.M. Atwood for Botany 101 and John Osborn for Zoology 103. Helen Gilkey may have been the instructor for the plant identification course. Use of the Collection
